Carli Universal 10" Limit Strap Kit — Made by Bull Strap in the USA

If you're running a Carli Suspension Radius Arm system on your Ford F-250, F-350, Ram 2500, or Ram 3500, the Carli Universal 10-inch Limit Strap Kit isn't an optional accessory — it's a critical safety component that protects your axle, your CV boots, and your entire front suspension from over-extension damage. This kit ships standard with Carli Radius Arm packages for good reason: without a limit strap, a fully droop-extended axle on a lifted truck can destroy everything connected to it in a single off-road moment.

What you may not know: this limit strap is manufactured by Bull Strap, right here in Temecula, California. Carli Suspension specifies Bull Strap because the quality isn't comparable to offshore alternatives. Every strap is made in the USA to Carli's exacting dimensional tolerances, using high-strength nylon webbing rated to handle the dynamic loading forces generated when a 7,000-pound Super Duty hits full droop at speed.

What Is a Limit Strap and Why Does Your Lifted Truck Need One?

A suspension limit strap is a tensioned nylon strap that runs between your axle housing and your frame — its job is to catch the axle before it reaches the mechanical end of its droop travel. Think of it as a seatbelt for your suspension. Without it, at full extension your CV axles are over-angulated, your brake lines and ABS sensor wires are stretched, your tie rod and drag link are stressed at extreme angles, and if you're running a solid front axle conversion, the axle itself can torque in ways it was never designed for.

On a stock-height truck, the factory bump stops limit upward travel and the suspension geometry itself limits droop — so the OEM system gets away without limit straps. The moment you lift the truck 2.5 inches, 3.5 inches, 4.5 inches, or more, you've fundamentally changed the suspension geometry envelope. The axle can now droop further than any stock component was designed to handle. That's when you need limit straps — not as an afterthought, but as part of the lift system itself.

Carli Suspension understands this. Their Radius Arm systems — built for the 2005–2023 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty and the 2003–2023 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 — include this limit strap kit in the box. If you're sourcing a replacement, adding a second set, or installing aftermarket Radius Arms that didn't include them, this is the correct strap.

The Weld-On Frame Clevis — Why It Matters

This kit includes a weld-on frame clevis, which is the upper mounting point where the limit strap anchors to your frame. The clevis design matters because it determines how load is distributed when the strap goes taut. A properly designed and positioned clevis spreads the load across the frame rail rather than concentrating it at a single bolt hole. When you're catching 700+ pounds of axle, differential, and wheel assembly at droop, that load distribution is the difference between a robust system and a torn mount.

The weld-on design is more secure than bolt-on alternatives for the same reason: it integrates the clevis into the frame structure rather than relying on thread engagement under dynamic shock loading. Carli specifies weld-on for their Radius Arm applications because these trucks are going to be used off-road, and off-road means jarring, repeated, high-force events at full droop. The weld-on clevis is the right call for that environment.

If you're not set up to weld, any competent fabrication shop can handle this mount in under an hour. The positioning is specified in Carli's installation instructions for your specific truck and lift height, so there's no guesswork on placement.

Why 10 Inches?

Limit strap length determines how much droop travel your suspension allows before the strap engages. The correct length is a function of your lift height, your specific suspension geometry, and the droop travel engineered into your particular Carli system. Carli specifies 10 inches for the Universal kit because it works across the range of vehicles and lift heights their Radius Arm products cover — it allows sufficient wheel travel for performance off-road use while providing enough protection margin to prevent over-extension damage.

Running a strap that's too short robs you of wheel travel — your truck won't articulate as designed, you'll lose traction on uneven terrain, and your ride quality will suffer on-road because the suspension can't droop freely. Running a strap that's too long defeats the purpose — the axle extends past safe limits before the strap engages. The 10-inch length is the engineered solution for Carli's geometry.

If you're building a custom suspension setup or running a non-Carli lift kit, the 10-inch length may or may not be correct for your application — contact Carli or Bull Strap before ordering to confirm the right length for your specific setup and lift height.

Vehicles This Kit Fits

The Carli Universal 10-inch Limit Strap Kit is designed for use with Carli Radius Arm suspension systems across these platforms:

Ford F-Series Super Duty: 2005–2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty (all trims, 4x4), 2005–2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty (all trims, 4x4), 2017–2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty (all trims, 4x4), 2017–2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty (all trims, 4x4). Both diesel (6.7L Power Stroke) and gas (6.2L/7.3L) engines.

Dodge Ram Heavy Duty: 2003–2013 Dodge Ram 2500 (all trims, 4x4), 2003–2013 Dodge Ram 3500 (all trims, 4x4), 2014–2023 Ram 2500 (all trims, 4x4), 2014–2023 Ram 3500 (all trims, 4x4). Both Cummins diesel and Hemi gas engines where applicable.

If you're running a Carli Radius Arm kit from any of the years listed above, this is the correct replacement or supplemental limit strap kit. Universal fit within the Carli system means the strap hardware is consistent — the installation position is dictated by your clevis placement per Carli's instructions for your specific application.

What's Included

The Carli Universal 10" Limit Strap Kit includes: one 10-inch nylon limit strap (high-strength rated, made in USA by Bull Strap), one weld-on frame clevis (steel, machined to Carli tolerances), and all necessary hardware for axle-end attachment. The weld-on clevis requires a weld to the frame — all other hardware is bolt-on at the axle attachment point.

Installation Overview

Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic fabrication capability. The process involves positioning and welding the frame clevis to your frame rail per Carli's placement specifications (consult your Carli lift kit instructions for exact positioning — it varies by vehicle and lift height), then attaching the strap between the clevis and your axle housing using the included hardware. The axle attachment point is typically a bracket on the differential housing or axle tube — again, Carli's instructions are specific to your truck.

Estimated install time for a prepared shop: 1–2 hours including weld cool-down and final torque of all hardware. If you're replacing an existing strap on an already-set-up truck, the weld-on clevis is already in place and the swap is a 20-minute job.

Made in the USA by Bull Strap — Why It Matters

Bull Strap manufactures suspension limit straps, jounce bumpers, and related accessories at our facility in Temecula, California. Carli Suspension — also a Southern California company — has specified Bull Strap components for their lift systems because the quality is consistent and the dimensional accuracy is there. When Carli tests a new suspension system, the limit straps in that system are Bull Strap products.

The off-brand limit straps you'll find for $20 on Amazon are made to no specified standard. The strap width varies, the webbing strength isn't rated, the hardware is often undersized, and the end terminations can slip or tear under load. That matters when a 7,000-pound truck hits full droop at 40 mph on a desert trail. Bull Strap products are made to hold. That's the reason Carli uses them, and it's the reason you should source from Bull Strap when you need a replacement.

Ordering and Replacement

If you're replacing a worn or damaged limit strap on an existing Carli setup, this kit is the correct OEM-equivalent replacement. The 10-inch strap and weld-on clevis are the same spec components that ship with Carli's Radius Arm kits.

If you're adding limit straps to a custom build or a used truck that was lifted without them, order this kit and confirm placement with Carli's technical support before installation. Running your truck without limit straps on a lifted solid-axle or Radius Arm setup risks CV axle failure, brake line failure, and steering component damage — all preventable with a $151 strap kit installed correctly.

Questions about fitment for your specific truck, lift height, or Carli system? Contact Bull Strap directly — we manufacture these straps and can confirm the right spec for your application.

Genuine Quality, Made in the USA

Bull Strap is the manufacturer behind Carli's limit straps, and Carli Suspension engineers and machines their full component lineup in Southern California. Every component that leaves their facility is built to work correctly together — not a collection of sourced parts assembled into a kit, but a cohesive suspension system where the engineer who designed the spring also knows the damping curve of the shock it will work with. For truck owners who are serious about suspension and plan to use their trucks hard for years, buying from manufacturers who build what they sell — not importers who badge-engineer catalog parts — is the choice that pays off over the life of the suspension. The Carli system for your Ram HD or Super Duty is built to that standard.
