The Ram Power Wagon is already one of the most capable factory off-road trucks ever built. But even the best platforms have room for improvement, and Carli Suspension has spent years engineering the answer. The Carli Pintop Leveling System for 2019–2022 Ram Power Wagon (Gas, R2 Coil) is a comprehensive, purpose-built suspension upgrade that transforms how your ¾-ton truck behaves both on paved roads and when the pavement ends. This is not a lift kit bolted together from generic components. This is a complete, engineered suspension solution designed from the ground up for the specific demands of a gas-powered Power Wagon owner who wants more from every mile.
Carli describes the Pintop as the "jack-of-all-trades" system, and that description is earned. The core philosophy behind this kit is balance: a sedate, composed, confidence-inspiring on-road ride combined with the capability to handle light- to medium-duty off-road terrain without drama. Rough two-tracks, rocky washes, rutted forest roads—the Pintop system makes these environments feel controlled and uneventful rather than punishing. Yet when you pull back onto the highway after a day in the dirt, the ride remains smooth and civilized. Most suspension lifts force you to choose between comfort and capability. The Pintop refuses to accept that trade-off.
The system is built around Carli-specific, blueprinted King 2.5 shocks at all four corners. King is widely regarded as the gold standard in performance shock manufacturing, and Carli's collaboration with King takes that standard even further. These are not off-the-shelf shocks from a King catalog. They are specification-built for Carli, for this truck, for the weight and demands of a gas-powered Power Wagon. Every detail has been dialed in by Carli engineers who understand that a ¾-ton truck running down a dirt road at speed is a very different animal than a half-ton weekend warrior.
The 2.5-inch diameter shock body used throughout the Pintop system delivers 55% more piston surface area compared to a 2.0-inch shock. More piston surface area means more fluid displacement per stroke, which translates directly into greater damping control and more consistent performance across a wider range of speeds and terrain types. A 2.0-inch shock works adequately on lighter trucks, but on a heavy-duty platform like the Power Wagon—a truck that may be carrying a full payload, towing a trailer, or pounding through corrugated desert roads—the larger 2.5-inch diameter provides the authority the system needs to stay composed under real-world loads.
Carli engineers designed a custom piston for these shocks to produce proper base flow rates and optimize performance specifically for robust ¾-ton and one-ton platforms. This is not a detail that should be glossed over. The piston is the heart of a shock absorber. Its port sizing, its bleed rates, and the relationship between compression and rebound damping forces all determine how the truck actually rides. Getting those numbers right for a Power Wagon requires a different solution than getting them right for a lighter truck. Carli's custom piston reflects thousands of hours of development and real-world tuning to deliver the right balance for this specific application.
The shocks also feature shafts machined and polished from a solid piece of 17-4 stainless. Shock shafts operate in an environment that includes dirt, moisture, road salt, and constant mechanical stress. Standard shock shafts are often chrome-plated steel, which can pit and corrode over time—leading to seal wear, oil leaks, and degraded performance. A solid 17-4 stainless shaft is substantially more resistant to corrosion, maintains its surface finish longer, and protects the shock seals for an extended service life. For a truck that sees both highway miles and trail use in all weather conditions, this is exactly the kind of long-term durability detail that separates a quality suspension system from a commodity lift kit.
One of the most significant functional improvements the Pintop system delivers is a dramatic increase in wheel travel. Stock suspension on the Ram Power Wagon is engineered with tightly constrained geometry and spring rates that prioritize load-carrying capacity over active wheel travel. That's appropriate for a work truck, but it means the suspension runs out of room quickly when you're traversing broken terrain. The Pintop system opens up that travel envelope substantially, allowing the front end to follow terrain contours rather than push through them. The result is better tire contact with the ground, improved traction, and a smoother ride over rough surfaces.
The R2 Coil springs included in this configuration are the higher-rate option in the Pintop lineup. The "R" designation in Carli's naming convention reflects the spring rate tier, with R2 targeting owners who want a firmer, more controlled front end—whether that's due to running heavier accessories like a winch bumper and steel skid plates, or simply preferring a stiffer, more planted feel both on and off road. If your Power Wagon is equipped or you prefer a more assertive front end, the R2 coil is the appropriate choice. Carli also offers the Pintop in an R1 configuration for those who prefer a softer spring rate. Choosing the right coil spring rate for your specific use case is important, and Carli's tiered system allows you to match the spring to your actual needs rather than accepting a one-size-fits-all solution.
The Pintop system includes an adjustable track bar, and its inclusion is not merely a convenience feature—it's a safety-critical component. When a Ram 2500 or 3500 is lifted, the factory track bar geometry is compromised. The front axle shifts laterally relative to the frame, and the track bar angle changes. Left uncorrected, this misalignment introduces sloppiness into the steering system that can initiate or worsen the dreaded Death Wobble phenomenon—a violent, self-sustaining oscillation of the front axle that can be both terrifying and dangerous at highway speed.
The Carli adjustable track bar restores proper axle-to-frame alignment after the suspension is leveled. It counters the lateral shift introduced by the lift, brings the geometry back within acceptable parameters, and eliminates the conditions that allow Death Wobble to develop. For Power Wagon owners, where the truck will often be lifted and running larger tires, this is not an optional upgrade—it's a foundational requirement of a properly engineered system. Carli includes it in the Pintop kit because leaving it out would be irresponsible engineering.
The Pintop system delivers a 2-inch lift at the front, bringing the nose of the Power Wagon up to a level stance that matches the rear. The factory Power Wagon sits nose-down, a configuration that many owners find aesthetically disappointing and that also limits front-end clearance when approaching obstacles. The 2-inch front lift corrects both issues simultaneously. The truck looks right—level, aggressive, purposeful—and gains meaningful additional clearance under the front bumper and approach angle for trail work.
The level stance also accommodates larger diameter tires with less risk of rubbing during full articulation or steering lock. If you're planning to step up from the factory tire size, the Pintop system's additional lift and its geometry corrections create the clearance envelope to do so safely and without compromising drivability.
The Carli Pintop Leveling System with R2 Coil is specifically validated for the 2019–2025 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. The Power Wagon's unique front suspension configuration—including its front sway bar disconnect, electronic front axle disconnect, and factory locking differentials—requires suspension components engineered around those systems. Carli's fitment validation ensures this system integrates correctly with the Power Wagon's factory features, preserving their function while transforming suspension performance. If you're unsure whether your specific model year or trim configuration is covered, the fitment table included with this listing is your reference point.
The Pintop Leveling System is designed as a foundation, and Carli's broader product catalog is built to complement it. Power Wagon owners who want to push further into off-road performance should consider pairing the Pintop with Carli's billet control arm solutions, which improve geometry and increase tire clearance beyond what stock control arms allow. For rear suspension improvements, Carli's extended rear track bar kit for the Ram 2500 (covering 2014–2025 models) optimizes the 5-link rear suspension to match the improved front-end behavior delivered by the Pintop system. A complete front-and-rear Carli solution creates a coherent, balanced suspension upgrade that is dramatically better than mixing and matching components from multiple manufacturers.
Carli also offers multiple system tiers—from the entry-level Commuter and Pathfinder systems up through the Pintop and beyond—so owners can choose the level of performance investment that matches their use case and budget. The Pintop sits in a performance tier that delivers genuine on-road and off-road capability improvements without requiring the fully committed investment of Carli's top-tier systems. It is the right choice for the owner who spends 70% of their time on paved roads and 30% in the dirt, and who refuses to accept mediocre performance in either environment.
Carli Suspension has built its reputation on one principle: engineering that is done right. In a market flooded with cheap lift spacers, budget coilover kits, and generic suspension components that share nothing in common with the truck they claim to fit, Carli stands apart by doing the engineering work. Custom pistons. Proprietary shock tuning. King shocks built to Carli's specifications. Adjustable geometry components. These are not marketing claims—they are engineering decisions made by people who understand truck suspension at a deep level and who hold themselves to a higher standard than the minimum required to ship a product.
When you invest in a Carli Pintop system, you are buying suspension that will transform your Power Wagon into a genuinely better truck—not a truck that has been lifted with compromised geometry and a rougher ride, but a truck that handles better, rides better, performs better off-road, and is safer at highway speed. For Power Wagon owners who are serious about what their truck can do, the Pintop Leveling System is the right choice.
The Pintop Leveling System is designed for installation by experienced suspension shops or mechanically capable enthusiasts with appropriate equipment. The kit includes all four Carli-spec King 2.5 shocks, the R2 front coil springs, the adjustable front track bar, and the hardware required to complete the installation. A proper alignment is required after installation to restore factory steering and tire wear specifications with the new geometry. Carli recommends professional installation by a shop familiar with heavy-duty truck suspension to ensure all components are torqued correctly, the track bar is adjusted properly, and the alignment is dialed in for the lifted ride height.
For Power Wagon owners who already have experience with suspension modifications, the Carli installation instructions are detailed and thorough. The system is engineered to integrate cleanly with factory mounting points, minimizing the cutting and fabrication sometimes required with less purpose-built kits. The result of a proper installation is a truck that feels like it was engineered from the factory to ride and handle exactly this well—because Carli did the engineering work to make that possible.
The Carli Pintop Leveling System for 2019–2022 Ram Power Wagon (Gas, R2 Coil) is the suspension upgrade for owners who want the most from their truck without compromise. It delivers a confident, composed on-road ride, expanded off-road capability, improved wheel travel, a level stance, and the engineering quality that only Carli provides. The R2 coil spring makes it the right choice for loaded trucks or owners who prefer a firmer, more controlled front end. Paired with Carli's adjustable track bar and Death Wobble prevention engineering, this is a complete, coherent suspension solution that earns its place at the top of the Carli lineup for Power Wagon owners.
