The seventh-generation Ford Super Duty is a significantly re-engineered truck, and with that re-engineering came a suspension architecture that requires suspension upgrades developed specifically for the new platform. The Carli PAP Commuter Leveling System for 2023+ Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty delivers exactly that: a purpose-engineered 3.5-inch leveling system designed for the Post-Active-Piston (PAP) generation of Super Duty trucks, focused on delivering the best possible on-road ride quality at an entry-level price point. For Super Duty owners who spend the majority of their driving time on paved roads and want their truck to ride like it deserves to, the Commuter system is the right starting point.
Ford made significant changes to the F-250 and F-350 platform beginning with the 2023 model year, including updates to the front suspension geometry and configuration that affect how aftermarket components must be engineered. The Carli PAP Commuter system is not a re-labeled version of an older kit—it is developed specifically for the post-2023 Super Duty platform. This matters because a system engineered for the wrong platform will not integrate correctly with the factory suspension geometry, leading to alignment problems, premature wear, and degraded handling. Carli's application-specific engineering ensures the Commuter system fits correctly, integrates cleanly with factory systems, and performs as intended on the 2023-generation truck.
The Commuter 2.0 system is built around a clear, honest mission: deliver the best on-road ride quality improvement available at an entry-level price point. Carli does not overstate what the Commuter system is—it is not a dedicated off-road race system, and it is not the most aggressive suspension upgrade in the Carli lineup. It is a carefully engineered entry-level system for the Super Duty owner who drives their truck every day on paved roads, values ride comfort over extreme off-road performance, and wants to make that daily driving experience significantly better without investing in a more comprehensive system.
That clarity of purpose makes the Commuter a very effective product. When you design a system specifically to excel at on-road ride quality, you can optimize every component choice for that goal. The result is a leveling system that genuinely improves how the 2023+ Super Duty feels on the highway, on city streets, and on long road trips—the driving conditions that account for the vast majority of miles driven by most Super Duty owners.
The Commuter system delivers a 3.5-inch front lift, leveling the Super Duty's nose-down factory stance and providing a meaningful increase in front clearance. The factory F-250 and F-350 sit lower in the front than the rear—a configuration that accounts for the additional weight of the front axle, engine, and steering components but results in a look that most owners find far less aggressive and capable-looking than the truck's actual capability warrants.
A 3.5-inch front lift corrects this stance, bringing the nose up to match the rear and creating a level, aggressive profile that makes the Super Duty look as capable as it is. But the benefits extend beyond aesthetics. The additional front clearance improves the truck's approach angle for situations where the terrain drops away in front of you, reduces the risk of front bumper contact on driveways and road transitions, and provides the clearance envelope to run a larger-diameter tire than the factory configuration allows. For Super Duty owners who want to step up in tire size as part of their build, the 3.5-inch lift creates the space to do so properly.
The Super Duty's factory ride quality is a consistent complaint among owners, particularly when the truck is running unloaded or lightly loaded. The springs and shocks required to make a ¾-ton or one-ton truck capable of its rated payload are inherently stiff, and that stiffness is felt in every road imperfection when the truck is unladen. The Commuter system addresses this by delivering a suspension configuration that smooths out the factory ride character, reducing the harshness and impact transmission that make the stock Super Duty uncomfortable on rough pavement.
The system is specifically tuned to keep your wallet in mind while delivering real comfort improvements. This is Carli's entry-level system, which means the investment is appropriate for owners who want a meaningful improvement without committing to the higher-tier systems in the Carli lineup. For the Super Duty owner who uses their truck primarily as a daily driver—hauling moderate loads, making regular highway trips, navigating city traffic—the Commuter system provides exactly the right level of upgrade at exactly the right price point.
The Carli PAP Commuter Leveling System is validated for the following configurations:
2023–2026 Ford F-250 Super Duty: King Ranch, Lariat, Limited (2023–2024), Platinum, XL, XLT
2023–2026 Ford F-350 Super Duty: King Ranch, Lariat, Limited (2023–2024), Platinum, XL, XLT
This coverage spans the complete trim range of the seventh-generation Super Duty, from workhorse XL models to top-of-the-line Platinum trucks. Carli's application-specific engineering ensures the system fits correctly across all of these configurations without trim-specific modifications. Always verify your specific year and trim against the fitment table before ordering.
The word "entry-level" in the context of the Commuter system refers to price tier, not component quality. Carli does not build cheap products. Every suspension component that carries the Carli name reflects the same engineering philosophy: understand the platform deeply, design components that genuinely improve performance, and build to a quality standard that delivers long-term reliability. The Commuter system is Carli's most accessible product, but it is still a Carli product—engineered by the same team, held to the same quality standards, and backed by Carli's reputation for getting heavy-duty truck suspension right.
For Super Duty owners who are new to Carli's lineup, the Commuter system is an ideal entry point. It demonstrates what Carli's engineering approach delivers in terms of real-world ride quality improvement, and it provides a foundation that can be built upon with additional Carli components as your needs and budget evolve.
The Commuter Leveling System works as a standalone upgrade for the owner focused on daily driver ride quality. But for owners who want more capability or who plan to run larger tires, Carli's broader lineup for the 2023+ Super Duty provides complementary components. Carli's approach to building complete suspension solutions means that upgrading from the Commuter to a higher-tier Carli system later is a coherent path, and adding geometry correction components or performance shock upgrades to the Commuter foundation is entirely consistent with how Carli designs their products to work together.
For owners who are building a more comprehensive upgrade, consulting with Carli or an authorized Carli dealer about the best combination of components for your specific use case is the recommended approach. The goal is always a coherent, balanced suspension solution where front and rear work together rather than working against each other.
The Carli PAP Commuter Leveling System is designed for installation by experienced suspension shops. The 3.5-inch lift changes the front geometry of the truck, and a professional wheel alignment following installation is required to restore correct steering specifications and prevent uneven tire wear. Carli's installation documentation covers the specific requirements of the 2023+ Super Duty platform. Correct installation—with proper torque specifications and accurate alignment—is essential to getting the full benefit of the system's ride quality improvements and ensuring the longevity of all components.
It is worth taking a moment to understand what makes the Carli PAP Commuter a fundamentally different kind of suspension upgrade compared to the budget spacer lift kits that flood the Super Duty market. A spacer kit does one thing: it pushes the front of the truck up by inserting a solid spacer above the factory strut or between the coil spring perches. It does not improve damping, does not correct geometry, and does not change how the suspension actually moves. The factory shocks—already inadequate for delivering smooth on-road ride quality—remain in place, now working at geometry they were not designed for. The result is a truck that is taller but rides worse and handles more vaguely than before.
The Carli PAP Commuter system is not a spacer kit. It is a purpose-engineered suspension upgrade that replaces or supplements the factory damping with Carli-tuned components, delivers the 3.5-inch lift as part of a complete system engineering solution, and produces a truck that is taller and rides better—the combination that Super Duty owners deserve and that only engineered systems like the Commuter can deliver.
For 2023+ Super Duty owners considering a suspension upgrade, the Carli PAP Commuter Leveling System represents exceptional long-term value. The system delivers immediate, tangible improvements in daily driving comfort and truck appearance, and it does so with components engineered and built to last. The Commuter is not a system you will need to replace in two years because the shocks have faded or the geometry components have worn out. It is a system built to deliver its performance improvements consistently across the service life of the components—which means the investment pays dividends every mile you drive.
When you factor in the daily quality-of-life improvement that comes from driving a truck that rides correctly, the aesthetic improvement that comes from a properly leveled Super Duty stance, and the practical benefits of additional front clearance for tire sizing and approach angle, the Carli PAP Commuter Leveling System is an easy case to make for any 2023+ Super Duty owner who is ready to get the most from their truck.
For 2023+ Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty owners who spend the majority of their driving on paved roads and want the best possible ride quality improvement at an accessible price, the Carli PAP Commuter Leveling System is the right choice. It delivers 3.5 inches of front lift, a level stance that transforms the truck's appearance, and the improved on-road comfort that makes a heavy-duty truck a pleasure to drive every day. Engineered specifically for the post-2023 Super Duty platform, built to Carli's quality standards, and priced for the owner who is budget-conscious without being willing to compromise on the fundamentals—this is the system that proves you do not have to choose between affordability and quality when you buy Carli.
