Carli 2014–2024 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Skid Plate Drop Bracket


The Ram 2500 Power Wagon arrives from the factory as one of the most capable off-road trucks available — but when you install a Carli lift system on one, the factory skid plate position changes relative to the new suspension geometry. The Carli Power Wagon Skid Plate Drop Bracket corrects this, relocating the skid plate to the proper position relative to the lifted suspension so it continues to protect the components it was designed to shield without restricting suspension travel or creating clearance conflicts with Carli's lift hardware.


The Power Wagon's factory skid plate is mounted in a fixed position relative to the frame. When a lift system raises the frame relative to the axle and driveline, that fixed skid plate position shifts upward relative to the components it is meant to protect. Without this bracket, the skid plate either sits too high to provide meaningful ground clearance protection, restricts suspension travel by contacting lifted components at certain positions, or creates clearance conflicts with Carli's system geometry. The drop bracket relocates it to where it needs to be — below the components it protects, at the correct height relative to the lifted geometry.


Power Wagon Suspension: Radius Arm Architecture


The Ram 2500 Power Wagon uses a radius-arm front suspension setup, the same basic architecture as the standard Ram 2500, but with factory front and rear lockers, a Warn winch, and a suspension calibration tuned for off-road performance from the factory. The Carli lift systems for the Radius-Arm equipped Power Wagons replace the rear springs and shocks with longer travel variants. As the bump stop location does not change, the additional travel is found on the extension side of the stroke. With the Power-Wagon’s factory underbelly skid, the additional suspension droop of the Carli Suspension System can cause the rear driveshaft to contact.
