How Much Lift Do You Need?
2-3 inches: The most popular range. Fits 33-35" tires on most trucks and Jeeps without major modification. Bolt-on install, improved off-road clearance, better look. Good for the daily driver that sees occasional trails.
4-5 inches: Gets you to 35-37" tires. May require upper control arm upgrades (UCAs) to maintain proper geometry at this height. Significant off-road capability improvement.
6+ inches: Serious build territory. 37-40" tires, full suspension geometry correction required. Budget for UCAs, extended brake lines, and driveshaft work on top of the lift kit cost.

What's Included in a Lift Kit?
Basic leveling kits include spacers only. Full suspension lift kits include new shocks/struts, spring plates, and all hardware. Premium kits include adjustable shocks, bump stops, and extended brake lines. Read the kit contents carefully — you may need to budget for extended brake lines and alignment separately.
